We would like to announce our award winners for this year. First, let me thank everyone who took time to nominate this year. We had a fantastic ballot across the board and made some very difficult decisions, but I do believe each person being honored this year is more than worthy.

Without further delay, our 2025 Bill Esposito honoree is Ryan Mosher from Slippery Rock! Ryan follows in the footsteps of his boss and nominator, Jon Holtz, a previous Esposito award winner and past EAST-COMM President. The Bill Esposito Award is presented to a graduating college senior who wishes to pursue a career in athletic communications. The Award is named to honor the memory of one of the true patriarchs of the sports information profession.

The Monahan & Wallace Media Award winner this year is Andy Malnoske of WETM-TV (NBC 18 My TwinTiers) presented annually, the Monahan & Wallace EAST-COMM Media Award is bestowed upon an individual in either print or electronic media "for outstanding coverage of eastern intercollegiate athletics." The recipient is selected by a committee composed of members of the EAST-COMM.

The newly formed Ann King Advocacy Award honoree is our very own
Jill Guise of Johns Hopkins University. Jill is our second-ever honoree after presenting the award posthumously to Ann King last year. The Ann King Award is presented to a female with at least 15 years' experience in the Sports Information/Athletic Communications field. The criteria for the award includes: the individual exhibiting strong advocacy for intercollegiate athletics; has mentored and improved the impact of women in the profession; and demonstrates passion to uplift those around them within the field.

Geoff Hassard of New England College is this year's Pete Nevins Award winner. The Pete Nevins Award for Distinguished Achievement The award is presented to an individual in recognition of his or her advancement of the field of athletic communications and advocacy for intercollegiate athletics. The winner must have served at least 25 years in the sports information field, and be either a current or former member of EAST-COMM.

Finally, this year's Irving T. Marsh Service Bureau Award Winners are Mark Fisher of Carnegie Mellon University and Ken Johnson, formally of MIT, posthumously. The Irving T. Marsh Awards are given annually to a University (Division I or II) and College Division (Division III, NAIA or Junior College) EAST-COMM member who, in the opinion of the membership and Executive Board, has exhibited excellence in the field of sports information. The awards are presented annually at the spring workshop. First presented in 1966, the awards are named after Irving T. Marsh, the ECAC Service Bureau founder and director until his retirement in 1973.
