"I want to express my heartfelt condolences and that of the entire East Comm membership to the Guise family on Scott's passing," said current EAST-COMM President
Megan O'Brien. "Watching the tributes pour in on social shows you how many people's lives, both in the athletic communications world and former student-athletes, Scott managed to touch. He cared deeply about the people around him and all of us are better for having had him in our lives."

Â
"As someone who became an athletic communications professional thanks to working for Scott, I considered him a mentor and a friend," O'Brien added. Thanks for setting the bar on how to do the job right high Scott. We will strive to follow the path you laid out moving forward."

Â
Â
