EAST-COMM July President's Letter

Hi Friends –

I hope everyone is enjoying what's left of their summer. I feel like we just finished things up in May and our first student-athletes return to campus in a little less than a week.

I'm extremely excited to serve as the President of East-Comm this year and give back to the organization that's had such a profound impact on my career. No matter if I've been a member of this group while at the D3 level or now on the D1 level, this organization has given me so much and created some lifelong friendships. To be the eighth woman to serve as the leader of this great group is an incredible privilege.

I want to give a shout out to our outgoing President, Mary Raskob. Mary, thank you for everything you did for the organization.

I'm pleased to welcome the "new" members of our executive board. Please help me welcome AJ O'Hagan (Monroe College) to the President Rotation. AJ's done great work as our Charities Chair for the last several years and I know he'll bring even more to the rotation.

Thanks to Greg Pellegrino (PSU Abington), who slides from the Presidential Rotation into our Sponsorship Chair roll and a special welcome to Drew Patrick (Mansfield) who joins the board as our new Charities Chair.

I'm pleased to report for the second straight year you will be able to purchase your East-Comm membership while purchasing your College Sports Communicators membership. The price will remain at $75 and I recommend everyone getting that done when the membership drive starts August 1. Your membership entitles you to take part in our Student-Athletes of the Month, Academic Honor Roll, zoom calls and our convention in June.

Stay tuned for more info to come on our Zoom sessions for the fall semester.

As always, if any of the board members or I can do anything to help you, please reach out.

Wishing you nothing but the best as you prepare for the start of the upcoming season.

Take time for you and remember to breath!
 Megan
