Jason Eichelberger will begin his 25th year in Athletics Communication in 2024-25 as he was named Director of Athletic Communications at McDaniel in August, 2022.
Eichelberger spent the last few years at Catholic University as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. He ran the overall operation of the athletic communications office while serving as the primary contact for football, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse.
Prior to Catholic, Eichelberger worked as a media relations assistant at Towson University, Georgetown University and Marymount University. He also worked as an official scorer for the Potomac Nationals of the Carolina League as well as an official statistician for the University of Maryland, Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, Washington Valor and Baltimore Brigade.
From 2008-15, Eichelberger spent seven years as the Associate Athletics Director and Sports Information Director at Stevenson University. He oversaw the media relations efforts for all of the athletic teams at Stevenson which expanded from 17 in 2008 to 27 in 2015, highlighted by the addition of football, men's and women's ice hockey and beach volleyball. He also served as the primary contact for the men's lacrosse team in 2013 that was ranked No. 1 and won the NCAA Division III national championship.
Eichelberger implemented live video, live statistics and social media while assisting in the creation of SUTV and overseeing marketing and promotion, game operations and game entertainment. He served on various committees, including Hall of Fame, scheduling and recruiting.
